Beyond the City, Beyond the Ordinary - Race Dubbo

Set on the banks of the Macquarie River, our triathlon courses offer smooth, fast routes with a relaxed country vibe and a surprisingly competitive edge. We’ve got proper race-day infrastructure: electronic timing chips, pre-race briefings, water safety crews, clearly signed turnaround points, and friendly marshals who will encourage you to succeed.

Whether you’re racing the Sprint, Enticer, or Mini - you'll feel the rhythm of a well-run event without the chaos of big-city crowds.

  • The Sprint

    FAST & FLAT

    SWIM - 500m
    RIDE - 18km
    RUN - 4km

Your race begins with a scenic 500m swim under the iconic LH Ford Bridge, slicing downstream along the Macquarie River. Exit at the boat ramp and charge up the tar path toward transition.

Mount your bike (after crossing safely) and head south along the open stretch of Bligh Street. Settle into your rhythm, then hang a right at the T-intersection onto Macquarie Street for a smooth, scenic out-and-back ride. Hit the turnaround at 9km and push for home.

Back at transition, it’s time to switch gears. The run takes you along the river path, twice (two x 2km loops) with a wide-open finish line waiting at the end.

  • The Enticer

SHORT ON DISTANCE, BIG ON THRILL

    SWIM - 125m
    RIDE - 9km
    RUN - 2km

ick off your race from the purpose-built river steps just upstream of the boat ramp - a 125m downstream swim to get the heart pumping and nerves firing. From water to wheels, transition smoothly then head out on bike via Bligh Street.

Turn right at the T to join Macquarie Street, then settle in for a 4.5km ride out, 4.5km back.

The 2km run wraps it all up along the tree-lined river path. Fast, accessible, and over before you know it. This one’s ideal for first-timers or comeback racers looking to reignite the fire.

  • The Mini

    BITE SIZED ADVENTURE

    SWIM - 125m
    RIDE - 2km
    RUN - 1km

A bite-sized adventure for beginners, juniors, or anyone keen to dip their toes into the triathlon world.

Start from the new Macquarie River steps with a quick 125m downstream swim - enough to make a splash but short enough to stay fun. Transition fast, then take on a 2km bike ride that gives just enough road to feel the rush.

Finish with a flat 1km run along the river path. It’s short, sweet, and designed to make you fall in love with the sport.
