2026 Tri for Charity Challenge

We're doing it again!

We're doing it again!

Back for year two.

Same challenge, even bigger reason to get involved.

After a fantastic first Tri for Charity in 2025, we’re bringing it back for a second year.

Last year saw local businesses, families, friends and community teams take on the swim, ride and run, all while raising funds for Macquarie HomeStay. This year, we’re doing it all again.

Build a team. Back your community. Whether you’re racing with mates, colleagues, family or your club, this is your chance to test your teamwork and support something bigger than the finish line.

And remember, Tri for Charity isn’t about crossing the line first. It’s about nailing your strategy. Teams nominate their expected finish time before the race, and the winner is the team that gets closest to it.

No elite gear. No pro splits. No need to be the fastest team on course. Just smart pacing, teamwork, knowing your limits, and a format that means any team can win.

If you watched from the sidelines last year and thought, maybe next time, this is next time.

Your Race Begins…

SWIM - 500m RIDE - 18km RUN - 4km

Your race begins with a scenic 500m swim under the iconic LH Ford Bridge, cruising downstream along the Macquarie River. Exit at the boat ramp and charge up the tar path toward transition.

Mount your bike (after crossing safely) and head south along the open stretch of Bligh Street. Settle into your rhythm, then hang a right at the T-intersection onto Macquarie Street for a smooth, scenic out-and-back ride. Hit the turnaround at 9km and push for home.

Back at transition, it’s time to switch gears. The run takes you along the river path, twice (two x 2km loops) with a wide-open finish line waiting at the end.
